Wonderful antique Automaton Pull toy. Fine French Doll with bisque head. He is playing bells and turns his head, when the toy moves. On the left hand he is a lovely bird. Wonderfully dressed figure withface made of fine flawless bisque. Inset brown eyes. Mohair wig. Wooden body. Seated on on platform with embossed gold paper trim. Dressed in his original fine outfit with Dresden paper decoration. Excellent condition all over. H. 32 cm / 12,5" w. 26 cm/ 10" All original. Ca 1880

A Painted Papier Mache Marotte Of Polichinelle, French circa 1860, with wide painted smiling mouth, rouged cheeks, large hooked nose and chin, painted blue eyes, dressed in soft pink and cream silk and cotton dress in eight sections, matching collar and hat. Bells on collar and dress. Torso with hat and dress 36 cm. With stick 50 cm. When swirled bells sounds. Excellent condition of face. A little wear to dress due to age. A wonderful toy!

This is a fine and colorful Automaton of a clown playing the violin.The Automaton features a dressed clown with bisque head and flange neck: The head is molded and painted in bright colors with clown features. He is dressed in mauve velvet and gold silk with a large lace collar and sleeves. When the brass key is wound, music plays as right hand raises bow to play the violin, bisque hands, red velvet covered base. Excellent condition.Working fine. H. 36 cm/ 14" h. Ca 1870.

This is a charming wooden mechanical toy of a young girl playing the piano. A wooden doll with paper mache head is seated in front of a piano in her best clothes and plays the piano, when pulled. Her face is lovely, fine molded and painted facial features and a lovely hairstyle: hair curled at the top and put together in a molded and painted hair net.Her body is peg wooden and seated on a wooden stool. She has small painted black boots. She is dressed in her all original silk long skirt and fine blouse trimmed with lace. The condition of the toy is excellent. All original and no repairs. - very appealing toy! H. 21 cm ( 8,8") W. 17 cm (6,6")

This Exceptionally charming all original French automaton was made by Alexandre Theroude ca. 1850, France. It is showing a GIRL ON MECHANICAL PLATFORM It is lockwork driven, tin base with standing lady, done in hand painted papiermache head and ornately cloth dressed. Platform has spoke wheels. 22,2 cm tall /8- 3/4" h. Minor staining to clothing, all original and excellent condition.

A Roullet et Decamps walking pig automaton, with leather-covered body, glass eyes, articulated head and legs with serrated metal wheels, the open-spring motor causing him to walk forwards while turning his head and squeaking -- ca 1880. Closed mouth and large nose stump, glass eyes, curly tail, on spur wheels to legs for forward ratchet action. Comes with the original Roullet & Decamps key. size - 9.1/2in. long from nose to tail, 4.1/2in. high, (24 x 11.5cm). Some wear to leather due to age otherwise excellent condition.

Early Celluloid antique musical Marotte doll. A Celluloid shoulder head doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, four teeth, blonde mohair wig, is attached to torso that contains a musical box, with long turned stick with a flute. The marotte is decorated with original costume with lace trimming and matching clown cap. When twirled, the costume swings about and music plays. Condition: excellent. Fine celluloid head and clothes in wonderful condition.The music box functions well. circa 1900. High:13,7` (34 cm.) with hat.
