Antique Wooden Fortune telling doll made for the french market. About 1850

Early and rare wooden Fortune-Telling Doll for the French Market. Wooden Grödnertal shoulder head with black sculpted hair, painted facial features, muslin body. Circa 1850. She is on a carved ivory stick.The doll was used for presentation of fortune-telling and made for the French market. She is wearing her original green gown with velvet sleeves and has a woolen red cape black trimming. The fortune teller has an "under-skirt" composed of hundreds of folded paper fortunes, each with a hand-written fortune in French language. It is rare to find a fortune -telling doll in such a complete state. Size of doll 33 cm / 13" without stick.". She is all original. A very rare and intersting doll for the collection. Wonderful condition

A very rare early Milliners model Papier Mache doll with inset glass eyes. ca 1840. Germany

18" / 46 cm. The inset brown glasseyes are rare with the Milliniers models! This is a wonderful example of an antique papier mache milliners model with her hair hair put together in a braided bun at the back.This doll has a face with dark brown inset eyes and beautifully modelled hair. An unusual and early hairstyle. I think this lady is from the 1830s. She has the typical milliner''s body, with painted flat shoes, leather torso and paper rings where her wooden limps are attached. She wears her original cottondress. Made by Voigt, Germany. Literatur: Christiane Gräfnitz, Deutsche Papiermaché-Puppen 1760-1860. Verlag Puppen und Spielzeug 1994.

Hard to find is a small wash set for the dollhouse that is also complete and nice looking. This set is just lovely. Small, complete dollhouse porcelain wash set made of white china and decorated with purple flowers and a golden line. It has 4 pieces. A pitcher, a bowl, a pail with handle, a tiny night pot. Germany about 1880. Size of Pail with handle 1" ( 2,5 cm), pitcher 1" ( 2,5 cm). Bowl across 1-1/10" ( 3 cm). Fine condition. Nice accessories for your dollhouse. Made in Germany ca 1880.

Antique Heubach Character Baby "Piano Babys)

These 5 1/4 "/ 13 cm tall (sitting size ) small all bisque babys, circa the early 20th century, was manufactured by the German firm of Gebruder Heubach. The babys have a most humorous expression with side glancing intaglio painted eyes and a sweet little round open/closed mouth. The dolls are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. They are incised with the Heubach square mark and the number. Nice to display in a group of dolls. NOTE: The price is for one doll.

This dollhouse lady is elegant in the way she stands with her bent arms and perfect posture! She has sculptured eyelids and there is a red line painted over the eyelid. Her mouth is beautifully defined and she is wearing a wig.Her dress and large hat are all original and in the perfeckt style to her period.Good condition all over.
