This lovely Slithead doll comes from the Legoland museum.She is made of Wax over papermache arround 1830.She is in a unique condition. A blonde charming rare girl with a cute smile. She has large dark brown pupilless inset eyes-which is a sign of a very early doll of this type.,The original human blonde hair with curls is set in a slit in her head. She is in very good condition. The wax in excellent condition. She is dressed in her lovely all antique gown-tulle over cotton trimmed with velvet bands and laze and even a small brosch is added at her bust.She comes with layers of underwear.Her body is made of fabric with leather arms as typacally seen with this early slithead dolls.She is 41 cm tall./ 16". She is from around 1840.All original and in great condition. .A wonderful memory of the late Estrid Fauerholds famous collection of early dolls.Papiermache. This cute doll is in all most mint condition, dressed in knitted boy outfit.This doll must have been carefully played with. The fine painted head is made of painted bisque and so are his arms and legs. The torso is fabric. A wonderful childhood memory!. .
