Rare and outstanding is this antique empire papier mache Milliniers Model with a great hairstyle. appolloknot .This doll has a sweet, elegant face with blue painted eyes and beautiful molded hair. Her hair is braided and wound over her ears at the side, the back swept up into a large Appoloknot..an unusual and early hairstyle. I think this lady is from the 1830s. She has the typical milliner's body, with pinkish painted flat shoes, leather torso and paper rings where her wooden appendages attach. She wears her original antique dress with a layer of tulle.
