15" Wonderful antique papier mache milliners model with long ringlets at the side and the hair put together in a bun at the back,.This doll has a face with blue painted eyes and beautifully modelled hair. Her hair is braided and wound over her ears at the side, the back swept up into a knot with comb fastened below it..an unusual and early hairstyle. I think this lady is from the 1830s. She has the typical milliner's body, with painted flat shoes, leather torso and paper rings where her wooden limps are attached.
