EUR 1.285,00Category: Antique Tinplate Mechanical Toy Figures
Rare mechanical white dancing bear by Fernand Martin, Paris, circa 1909. An evocative glimpse of Parisian street life from the early 20th century. Martin produced the model in both brown and white versions; the white example is considerably more rarely seen. The bear has a chain around its muzzle and carries a pole across its shoulders. The winding key is positioned at the side, and the clockwork mechanism functions well. When wound, the bear dances animatedly from side to side. The bear is in very good condition and bears the Fernand Martin mark beneath the foot. A rare and characterful collector’s piece from the celebrated Parisian toy maker.
