This German Washstand / toilet table is rare to find. Proberly made by Bing or Mærklin. The condition is near mint.The lower part is handpainted yellow grainted to simular wood with two doors to open. The upper part -the top and arround the mirror it is white painted to simular marble. It has a small gallery shelf under the mirror for your bathing utensils. On the marbel painted top you have a washing bowl and a pinch. The Mirror is original. Nicht oft sieht man Puppenmöbel im Boulle-Stil in dieser Größe, die man als Zubehör für frühe Puppen verwenden kann oder als Dekoration in einer schönen Puppen-Szene als Zierrat. Um es zu veranschaulichen, habe ich eine frühe Papiermachépuppe dazugestellt, die 29 cm groß ist. Dieser antiker Biedermeier-Sekretär aus dem Jahre 1870 ist aus Holz mit gold-farbenem Schablonendruck hergestellt. Der "Boulle"-Klappsekretär ist auffallend wegen der Größe und der schönen detaillierten Verarbeitung. Im Aufsatz über dem Schreibbereich ist eine lange, schmale Schublade mit goldfarbenem Schablonendruck, sowie drei große Schubladen unter der herunterklappbaren Schreibplatte. Hinter der Klappplatte ist ein großes verspiegeltes Mittelregal und rechts und links sind je drei kleine Schubladen . Der Schreibbereich ist mit schön geschnitztem Holz verziert. Die Außenseite ist mit Schablonen- druck verziert. Ein sehr feines Möbelstück, das ein elegantes Zubehör wäre für die elegante frühen Puppen: Papiermaché, glasierten „Chinahead-Puppen“ oder eine französische Modepuppe. Größe: Höhe: 29 cm, Breite: 19 cm, Tiefe: 11 cm. Sehr schön erhalten mit nur wenigen Spielspuren. Die "Boullemöbel" wurden in Waltershausen in Deutschland hergestellt. Sie bekamen den Namen Boulle nach dem französischen Möbelschnitzer André-Charles Boulle, weil sie mit eingelegten edelmetallähnlichen Verzierungen ausgestattet waren.
