Early american folk art doll. This unique doll is very special. She is made ca 1860-70 She is a black doll with negroid face, Her head is wonderful sculptured in papermache with fine molded features fine painted eyes, modelled eyebrowns and mouth. A few hair is set ino her chin Her head is a swiwel head on a very special body made of leather over wood. Moveable arms with detailed fingers, Modelled breast,ribbons, detailed hands and feet and body features. Also the back is so lifelike! She is a very special doll with a great appearence. She is without clothes.She came with a clothes over her lower body, which was later made. But it will come with the doll.The doll comes with a provenance.Size 22 cm/ 8 1/2". A very special doll for your collection of early American folk art or early papermache. This doll seems unique to me! Americana.

Die füllige Dame in rot-grünem Kleid, der Herr im schwarzen Anzug, Uhrwerkantrieb, originelle Funktion, Höhe 17 cm. Ein sehr dekoratives und seltenes Stück in sehr gutem Zustand. Einige kleine altersbedingte Farbabplatzer. In Deutschland hergestellt von der Firma Günthermann.

Yogi:ein Inder in orientalischer Tracht schlägt einem Fakir, der auf einem weißen Leinentuch sitzt, mit einem Schwert den Hals durch ohne das der Kopf herab fällt. Durch einen Hebel an der Seite, wird der Mechanismus des Spielzeuges betätigt. Ein Inder schlägt einen Fakir den Kopf ab, ohne dass er runterfällt. Der Kopf des Fakirs ist aus Blech gestanzt, wird in das Spielzeug eingesteckt und ist mit einer Schnur mit demselben verbunden. Das Schwert fährt offentlich mühelos durch den Kopf des Fakirs. Des Rätsels Lösung: Das Schwert durchschlägt nicht den Hals, sondern wird mit großer, den Augen nicht wahrnehmbarer Geschwindigkeit, um 360 Grad herumgeschwenkt, so dass der Eindruck entsteht, als wenn der Hals des Fakirs durchschlagen würde
