14,7` (36 cm.) Lovely antique musical Marotte doll. A bisque shoulder head doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, four teeth, blonde mohair wig, is attached to torso that contains a musical box, with long turned . The marotte is decorated with original costume of blue and rose silk and cotton with lace trimming and matching clown cap. When twirled, the costume swings about and music plays. Condition: excellent. Functions well. circa 1890.

 Sehr schöner früher Weihnachtsschmuck: Schifahrender Nikolaus, der eine Laterne hält. Das Gesicht ist sehr schön aus Papiermaché modulliert (lachend, mit vier sichtbaren Zähnen). Gekleidet ist er in glatte weiße Baumwolle mit gleichfarbener Mütze. Die Laterne und die Schi sind aus Holz. Deutschland, ca. 1900. Größe: 10 cm. Sehr guter Zustand; die Kleidung ist altersbedingt leicht verblichen.
