A Painted Papier Mache Marotte Of Polichinelle, French circa 1860, with wide painted smiling mouth, rouged cheeks, large hooked nose and chin, painted blue eyes, dressed in soft pink and cream silk and cotton dress in eight sections, matching collar and hat. Bells on collar and dress. Torso with hat and dress 36 cm. With stick 50 cm. When swirled bells sounds. Excellent condition of face. A little wear to dress due to age. A wonderful toy!

A charming early wooden doll in a very fine all original condition. 15" tall (38 cm) This young girl is a peg wooden doll with papermache head covered with wax. Modelled black hair. Inset dark eyes. .. Her body is wooden, with a small waist. She is dressed in her original outfit -a lovely antique cotton dress.Fine underwear.Ca 1850.Excellent condition all over.

Long slender neck and with kid body and wooden lower limps. Painted shoes.Original cotton with tulle dress off the shoulders. Lovely molded bust. The painting is outstanding and so is the condition of this old empire doll. Also lovely as a dollhouse doll in a large dollhouse.A doll of museum quality.

21" / 52 cm is this impressive English lady! Large all original wooden Queen Ann doll from 1770.Made of wood, jointed at hips and knees and with original fork hands. Her lovely head is painted gesso over wood with inset pupilles enamel eyes, stippled brows and lashes, blushed cheeks, smiling red heart shaped mouth, pointed nostrils, a fine real hair wig blushing cheeks, Her wig is original f.Head and torso carved in one piece with legs jointed at hips and knees, which allows her to stand or sit.Fork like hands fastened with fabric.. She dressed in an antique fabric gown with hat in style of period, as with most of these dolls, there is some typical crazing, loss of gesso 21" h (52 cm) She is in a very good condition considering her age. This is a charming wooden mechanical toy of a young girl playing the piano. A wooden doll with paper mache head is seated in front of a piano in her best clothes and plays the piano, when pulled. Her face is lovely, fine molded and painted facial features and a lovely hairstyle: hair curled at the top and put together in a molded and painted hair net.Her body is peg wooden and seated on a wooden stool. She has small painted black boots. She is dressed in her all original silk long skirt and fine blouse trimmed with lace. The condition of the toy is excellent. All original and no repairs. - very appealing toy! H. 21 cm ( 8,8") W. 17 cm (6,6")

Rare to find is an Early Milliners Model like this. She comes from a Museum and has been well preserved behind glass in her wooden case for decades. She has a Papier mache sholderhead, black molded and painted hair with exposed ears and long detailed painted curls and brushstrokes.Painted features with blue eyes, kid body with wooden arm and legs.Her clothing is all antique and original.Lovely green silk blouse,cream gauche skirt, fine underwear, painted shoes. A little band on her arm.H.14" 36 cm.Incased in a period glass front wooden case. An excellent doll.. She comes from the Mary Merritt Doll Museum.
