Africa is a very early toy made by Lehmann, Brandenburg between 1889 and 1918. EPL # 170. A post carriage with an ostrich. Flying wheel mechanism. The toy has to do with the German involvement in Africa. This daybed is a lovely piece of ormolu furniture. The beautiful ormolu trim work around the bed and impressed design at the headboard and footend make this daybed a beautiful piece of furniture, that would be lovely in a room either with Ormolu furniture or Biedermeier.The upholstery is done in a fine wine red velvet fabric. Very good condition. Measurements:L. 14 cm / 5 1/2" H. 6 cm / 2 1/2" Ca 1880.

This is a more unusual ormolu fireplace with its gallery above the mantle. There are turned ormolu posts on each front wth final. It has impressed design at all sides. The Ormolu is strong and gold. Horse drawn fire carriage made by Reil,Blechschmidt og Müller, ORO. Brandenburg. Near MINT and a very beautiful carriage with 5 firemen. It was made in the 20es with clockwork and is working fine. Biedermeier China head doll, lovely detailed painted face, long slender neck and fine shoulder plate. She has beautifully painted features-a red line above her eyes,molded black hair with her ears free.She is on her original cloth body with Parian arms and legs, her feet with painted flat boots. He all original antique silk dress is so wonderful. A silk antique gown with wonderful details, like ribbon at the arms and lace.. A little fragile in the silk, due to age.Fine cotton underwear with skirt, pantalons and chemise. She has a shawl in one hand matching her dress and a little basket in the other. A perfect doll for the early doll house!And a dollhouse doll rare to find in this condition! Size 5 1/2" / 14 cm. Ca 1850
