26" (66 cm) 240 years old is this impressive English lady! Large all original wooden Queen Ann doll from 1770.Made of wood, jointed at hips and knees and with original fork hands. Her lovely head is painted gesso over wood with inset enamel eyes, stippled brows and lashes, blushed cheeks, smiling red mouth, pointed nostrils, a fine goat hair wig blushing cheeks, Her wig is original flax.Head and torso carved in one piece with legs jointed at hips and knees, which allows her to stand or sit.Fork like hands fastened with leather. She is dressed in her original outfit from the time.A wonderful cotton quilted dress decorated with lovely silk around her hips and breast. Her Hat is from the period too. She is not in anyway restored or repainted as we wish her to keep her original patina. She is in an extremely good condition considering her age. (human hair molded over cotton layer) Detailed modeling of face and breast, pierced nosstrils.She has her all original high "Adelheid" coiffure.Her leather body is clean, sturdy and all original.She is dressed in her original antique early cotton dress with a small print with puffed sleeves, fine underwear and fine early handsewn shoes.All hand made- antique and original.It is rare to find an doll of this high quality in such a great condition. No repair or retouching.

This Dollhouse doll is very rare and early.She is 7" (16 cm) high. About 1830.Her head is of wax with great details.Inset bead eyes.Remains of old wig.Excellent carved wooden arms and legs. The head has a peg running trough the neck to secure the body.Dressed original in cotton dress trimmed. Exceptional Lady for an early house She is described in Evelin Ackermanns book: Dolls in Miniature ( With John Noble) p.58 :
